Look at class or just above the heads so it seems you look at your audience. Speak loud enough to be heard. If you have pictures or drawings prepared to show or a handout that helps them see it. Try to relax and know you know material and tell them. Try to tell them something they don't know. Maybe there is something funny or different to tell them. Tell how the balloons made a difference.

Act enthusiastic and you will be enthusiastic. Be interested in balloons in civil war and be excited about it. Smile and just tell them or teach them and smile as you speak or every so often.

Good luck.

You should talk about the exiting and humorous things that happened in whatever your report is on, while you have them enjoying themselves, mix in a few of the cold hard facts for the teacher.

If you take a new piece of blu-tack and roll and wad it for a minute then apply it to the old blu-tack, you ought to be able to roll this back and forth over the board and bit by bit the old blu-tack will release. Should this method not work, please phone customer service on the package and explain your problem and they may be able to assist you further.

cheers

The other respondents had some very good advice. I especially agree that it is normal to be nervious. That is one of the most important reasons for the class. To help you develop poise and the ability to overcome your nerves. I guarantee--it gets easier the more you do it. I would add one tip to the things you have already read from the others. BE WELL PREPARED. At your level that means that you should really work to know what you are going to say. Know your material well and Practice it beforehand. Use your friends and family for practice. Don't let the first time you present be the time you stand in front of your instructor to be graded. If you will practice and prepare ahead of time you will go in there knowing that you can do it (because you have already successfully practiced it with people you are more comfortable with) and you will do a much better job. Good Luck!

Live practice is by far the best way. You will find that it's not hard to do the more you practice. Use your family, freinds, etc.
Think of yourselve as you think of a person you have seen standing up-front giving his/her presentation they did it so can you.

I get like this, public speaking puts me in fits of anxiety for days before hand. The way I cope is to be well prepared, to practice my presentation and even do a dumbie run in front of people if I can.

I also find taking a couple of deep breathes and collecting my thoughts before I start helpful. This of course doesn't make me stop getting nervous, or wanting me to poo my pants, but it does get me through the experience. And I usually end up doing a good job, and wondering what all the fuss was about.

It might also help to remember your not on your own. Public Speaking ranks higher than death as something people fear ! Many many people find it difficult. GOOD LUCK !

First off, you will get nervous. Your teacher is nervous the first several days of class. It's normal. It's as natural as anything. What you want to do is to control the nervousness.

In order to do that, be so completely prepared that the chances of your really messing up are very small indeed. Make notes on cards. Number the cards in big numbers so they don't get out of order easily. If you have visuals, number them on the front and the back, again in numbers you can read easily. Practice your presentation alone in your room and then with one or two of your friends watching. They rehearse in front of you too.

Those are all things to do. There are things to think about and know too. (1) Everybody's on your side. When did you last hope somebody else was awful because you enjoy being bored. Never right. Well, nobody wants you to be bad either. (2) Remember that everybody else is nervous too. Remember, it's normal and natural. (d) Don't look right at your audience. Focus on a spot about 6 inches above the tallest person's head. (e) Whatever you do do not imagine that everybody in your audience is naked. You'll take one look at you-know-who and either break up laughing or throw up. Not good.

You will survive, and you will do better than you give yourself credit for. Good luck.

* * Frame it & hang with picture hooks from frame. Frame kit.
* Have something solid on bottom such as top of dresser or a wall shelf.

That size of board will not stay with basic stickys and the stickys that would hold it will damage even some of the sheetrock when trying to remove it.
